— It was an event to remember during National Nurses Week, May 6-12, 2020.

Last evening, the large majestic red, white, and blue American flag flew from the tallest Manassas City Fire and Rescue System ladder at our ER entrance.  Area brave first responders including Manassas Park, and Prince William County, were invited by Manassas City Fire and Rescue, to surround and ride by our Novant UVA Prince William Hospital. with tribute signs and lights.  All to give thanks and encouragement to our warriors working within the hospital walls.

The hailed healthcare emerged from the halls to witness the outpouring of appreciation from public safety, fire, and rescue and leaders in the community. A special U. S. Army Black-Hawk military helicopter appeared in the sky for a fly-over of appreciation.

Leadership said the hospital is currently well-equipped with protective supplies and equipment. If community members are having health issues, NOVANT/UVA is available to treat patients.

Thank you to Manassas City Fire and Rescue for planning and coordinating this event and to all who are protecting and keeping us healthy in our hospitals, clinics, and in the community.
