IMPORTANT UPDATES:

If you want a vaccine, here is an update: Because of the shortage of COVID-19 vaccine supplies to be allocated in Manassas City, Prince William, and Manassas Park, please visit the following to make an appointment to receive a vaccine. Please sign up or call to be added to the wait list.
1. Prince William Health District (PWHD) ( currently at George Mason University at Beacon Hall, Manassas, Va., and Potomac Middle School — subject to change)
2. Your Primary Healthcare Professionals
3. Your local Hospitals
4. Your local Pharmacies

Presently, the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines are given in two separate timed doses. Johnson and Johnson is actively producing their single-dose-only vaccine and has applied with the FDA for an emergency use authorization and is expecting that authorization by the end of February.

VOLUNTEERS FOR VACCINES: Critical need for nurses, physicians, and pharmacists to volunteer to provide the vaccine at the PWHD clinics. Please visit Greater Prince William Medical Reserve Corps to sign up. Direct contact with questions: Amy.Feinberg@vdh.virginia.gov.

GPWMRC is recruiting practicing, retired or otherwise employed medical professionals and community members with non-medical skills. Epidemiologists, dentists, paramedics, clergy, translators, administrative assistants, IT personnel, and other members without a medical background are also encouraged to consider becoming a part of our unit.

COVID-19 TESTING: COVID-19 free testing will be once a week in the City of Manassas at Metz Middle School on Mondays at 10 a.m. beginning Monday, Feb. 8. Contact your primary healthcare professional or pharmacy for testing as well.

BLOOD, PLASMA, PLATELET DONATIONS: Visit the American Red Cross to make an appointment for these critical shortages to help patients recover and save lives.

FOOD DONATIONS and DISTRIBUTION: Visit ACTS in Manassas or Dumfries and donate cases of canned goods. One type of canned good instead of a variety is easier to sort for distribution. The website provides dates and times for food distribution for our community with food insecurities.
