Housing Resources for Veterans and Surviving Families During Covid-19

— As a military mom, I am very proud to have two Air Force vet children — our daughter and son.

With Memorial day weekend here, we remember the incredible sacrifices made by our armed forces and their families to keep America safe. We honor our service members who gave their lives — the ultimate sacrifice.

Many veteran families may be going through a hard time financially during the pandemic public health crisis. For that reason, I want to offer my support as their Councilwoman by providing the necessary resources they may need to make sure they keep a roof over their heads and can provide for their families.

If you are having trouble making your mortgage payments you can get counseling to avoid foreclosure, even if your loan isn’t a VA direct or VA-backed loan. If you would like to discuss your case directly with the US Department of Veterans Affairs, you can contact a loan technician at 877-827-3702.
