As we approach the summer months, many parents are wondering about summer day camps. The main concern is if they will be open and safe for their children.
Summer Day Camps follow the same guidance as child day care providers, meaning they follow the guidance listed below:
There are critical precautions that child care centers, as well as summer day camps must abide by, some include:
- Teach and practice social distancing by arranging activities that promote individual play or staggered arrangements.
- Limit the number of children in enclosed spaces, guidelines specify no more than 10 people, including staff.
- Avoid family style meals.
- Practice the necessary sanitation procedures.
